OBITUARY: Published in the Eau Claire Leader Telegram, October 9, 2011: Irving J. Michaud, age 87, of De Pere, WI, died Tuesday, October 4th at Unity Hospice in De Pere, WI. He was born March 25, 1924, in the Town of Hallie in Chippewa County to Lloyd and Margaret (Craney) Michaud. Irv attended St. Patrick's High School and then served in the Army Air Corp. from 1942 - 1946. He sold construction and highway equipment in Eau Claire, WI and Green Bay, WI for forty years. He also worked for Olson Trailer and Body in Green Bay, WI. for several years.
He and Elvera Faschingbauer were married on October 15, 1949, in Bloomer, WI. He and Beverly Staude married on July 16, 1983, in Eau Claire, WI. Irv was a long time member of Old St. Joseph's Church at St. Norbert's College in De Pere, WI. He was also a member of the Eau Claire, WI. VFW and Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, Beverly; seven children, Bridgid (Bruce Martin), Kate, Mary (Kevin McDermott), Peter (Connie), Bernie (Mary), Matt (Nancy), Nick (Jennifer); and two step-children, Brian (Barbara) Staude, Lisa (Pat) McNally; daughter-in-law, Lisa Staude; grandchildren, Clare, Lizzie, Elena, Joe, Celia, Louis, Eleanor, Lily, Jacob, Matthew, Brenna, Patrick, Morghan, Kristin and Michael. He is also survived by his sisters, Jean Comiskey, Ann Wolfgang and Sister Margaret O.S.B.; and his brother, David (Lois). He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Elvera; son, Joseph; and stepson, David.
A Memorial Service will take place on Monday, October 10th at Old St. Joseph's Church at St. Norbert's College, De Pere, WI (100 Grant Street) at 3:00 p.m. with Father James Baraniak O.Praem officiating. Immediately following will be a Military Honors Service.
