Obituary for Cecelia Ahneman - Eau Claire Leader-Telegram, 2/28/2004: Cecilia M. Ahneman, 85, of Eau Claire, died Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at Luther Hospital surrounded by her family. Cecilia was born June 2, 1918, in Wabasha, Minn., to William and Cecilia (Schaaf) Ott. She graduated from State Teachers College in Eau Claire in 1941. She married Spencer Ahneman on July 16, 1943, at St. Patrick?s Church in Eau Claire. Spencer died December 31, 1994. Cecilia is survived by four sons, Michael (Laurel) of Bismarck, N.D., Edward (Carla) of Eau Claire, Spencer (Patrice) of Eau Claire, and Mark of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Jon and Ben, Brian, Scott and Angela, Andrea and Kimberly, Tim and Michelle; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Cecilia is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Spencer; three sisters, Geraldine McElroy, Catherine Grossklaus and Erma Bogstad; one brother, Donald Ott. Mass of Christian burial will be at 7:30 p.m. today at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, 2502 11th St., Eau Claire, with Rev. John Schultz officiating. Interment will be at 9 a.m. on Thursday, April 29, 2004, in Sacred Heart Cemetery. |
