OBITUARY, publisher unknown, posted on FINDAGRAVE.COM: Anna J. Richardson (Jo), age 88 of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 23, 2012 at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Monroe, with her family by her side. Jo was born on November 14, 1924 in Calamine, WI, the daughter of Michael and Annie (McDonald) Fox. She grew up in Calamine, graduated from Platteville High School, and earned a Masters degree in Education from U.W. Platteville. She taught at Mineral Point Middle and High School for 20 years before retiring. After suffering a stroke in 1994, Jo moved to Monroe to be closer to her family. She was an amazing woman who, following her stroke, lived on her own and learned to drive a car again. She was a member of St. Victor Catholic Church, Monroe, was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed golfing. She is survived by five children, Vicki Stauffacher of Argyle, Carrie Rawson of Monroe, Stan (Kim) Richardson of Brookfield, WI, Becky Richardson of Sparks, NV, and Laurie (Steve) Pluemer of Battle Mountain, NV; 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; her sister, Myra Fox of Monroe; and five nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Raymond and Clarence Fox; two sisters, Margaret Fox and Agnus Fernandez; and a son-in-law, Roger Rawson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victor Catholic Church, Monroe, with Father Michael Klarer, Celebrant. A luncheon will be held in St. Victor’s Nilles Hall followed by burial in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, Kendall Township, Lafayette County |
